Since its beginnings in the summer of 1969, the Hee Haw concert series has been entertaining audiences with its down-home brand of good country fun. Corny jokes and the best performers country music had to offer were the staples of this long-running show, a more rural take on the sketch comedy of Rowan & Martin`s LAUGH-IN. Hosted by country-music legends Buck Owens and Roy Clark, the show was in syndication for over 20 years after being dropped by CBS in 1971, and maintained its popularity through its good-natured, consciously hokey one-liners.
